Print-makers vs. Image-makers in the World of Photography

"The photography critic A.D. Coleman illuminated an earlier theory proposed in the 1940’s by the late New Mexico photographer Walter Chappell. Chappell proposed that photographers fall into two basic categories: print-makers and image-makers. If you choose digital ink jet prints as your medium you unquestionable fall into the image-maker category. If you choose carbon as your medium you will fall without question into the print-maker category." - Dick Sullivan, The Book of Modern Carbon Printing

I'm an image-maker.
